CHINAPLAS 2025: African Delegation & Hosted Buyer Program

Overview

Leoht Africa was appointed to lead the African Hosted Buyer & Trade Delegation Program for CHINAPLAS 2025, the world’s leading exhibition for plastics and rubber technology.
Our assignment was to recruit, validate, and coordinate qualified African buyers and distributors from priority markets — connecting them directly with global manufacturers seeking entry or expansion across the continent.

This initiative formed part of a broader effort to deepen Africa–Asia industrial linkages, strengthen regional sourcing networks, and position African businesses as active participants in global manufacturing supply chains.

Objectives

  • Identify and recruit verified African buyers and importers in plastics, packaging, manufacturing, and related sectors.
  • Facilitate structured B2B matchmaking between African importers and CHINAPLAS exhibitors.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, visas, and onsite support for multi-country delegations.
  • Strengthen long-term Africa–China trade partnerships through post-event engagement and reporting.
  •
Scope of Work

Leoht Africa executed a continent-wide outreach campaign covering Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

Our activities included:

  • Partnership development with trade associations, export councils, and chambers of commerce.

  • A multi-channel recruitment drive combining email, association referrals, and digital outreach.

  • Buyer screening and verification using company credentials, import history, and sector specialization.

  • Development of delegation information packs, pre-event briefings, and onsite orientation materials.

  • Coordination of meeting schedules and matchmaking through CHINAPLAS’s official B2B portal.

Results & Impact
  • 120+ qualified African buyers participated from six countries.
  • Over 500 pre-scheduled B2B meetings facilitated between African importers and international suppliers.
  • More than USD 2.2 million in trade inquiries generated within eight weeks post-event.
  • Strengthened cooperation between African industry associations and Chinese manufacturers, leading to follow-up trade missions and supplier agreements.

Well-structured hosted-buyer programs turn exhibitions into high-return investment platforms — ensuring that participating buyers are credible, decision-ready, and matched to the right partners. Leoht Africa’s verification systems and local networks guarantee authentic African participation that delivers measurable results for global organizers.
